. I can’t say I’m tempted, although as a child I was a big, big fan of their fried clam dinners. But if you’re looking for something to eat on Good Friday, you might give it a try.

A late family friend who was a chef and cookbook author, specializing in fish, declared LJS’s fried fish “Beautiful” and “Perfect,” if I recall correctly. She was consulting for them at the time, but she didn’t have anything to do with the core recipes, so it’s not like she was crying up her own work.
